More sleeve mock ups: consideration of stock available to me

I whent to gadsbys and bought some paper from the library to print onto and see how different papers effected the print and the product itsself.

This was grey sugar paper, This was 5p a sheet and would be really cheap to mass produce with, and does have an appealing textural finish, but its very flimsy and would not last very long in a bag of records being used alot.

This is a lighter sugar paper that was slightly thicker, but not by much. The ink lays on this paper really nice because of its textural finish but again it is still too flimsy to be used for this function, this stock could be used as a protective envelope or  dust jacket for the record inside the sleeve, but not for the sleeve itsself.

It seems that the gloss card I was printing on before would be perfect, but it isnt big enough to print A2 and bigger documents onto. I think a stock similar to the stock i used for the glossy cases would be most suited to what I need to do.

This stock was the same as the previous, but obviously has been doubled up on ittself for the functionality of the net of this particular CD case, this was slightly stronger but it wouldnt be strong enough still to protect a CD. The plastic tray inside does make a slight difference, but on this mock up I made the spine allowance to big for the case, making it floppy and flimsy. This is something I will have to get right when I print the finals out.
